The 2025 Western Canadian Dairy Seminar: A Recap of Innovation, Networking & Industry Excellence

The 42nd annual Western Canadian Dairy Seminar (WCDS) has officially wrapped up at Red Deer Resort & Casino, and what an event it was! From March 4–7, 2025, dairy professionals from across Western Canada gathered for four incredible days of learning, networking, and industry advancement.

With cutting-edge research presentations, expert-led discussions, and groundbreaking technology showcases, attendees gained valuable insights into the future of dairy production. The 79-booth trade show was a hub of innovation, highlighting the latest advancements shaping the industry.

The event wasn’t just about business—it was about building connections. With two lively networking receptions and a memorable banquet, industry professionals had the chance to engage, collaborate, and create lasting partnerships.

One of the biggest highlights? The presentation of the John J. Kennelly WCDS Award of Merit, honoring a standout individual who has made a lasting impact on dairy education and technology. Their contributions continue to shape the future of dairy for generations to come.
