On the enchanting evening of October 12, Red Deer Resort and Casino’s Executive Chef, JP Dublado, was spotlighted as the Edmonton regional champion at Canada’s Great Kitchen Party, held at the Edmonton Convention Centre. His gold-medal-winning dish, a sumptuous blend of B.C. sablefish and Hokkaido scallops, scallop kinilaw, sablefish and scallop mousse, beet tartelette, essence of corn, and corn cremeux, expertly paired with Frind Winery 2020 Chardonnay from Okanagan Valley BC, captivated the discerning palates present.

This victory has not only brought honor to Red Deer Resort and Casino but also ensures Chef Dublado’s prestigious participation in the Canadian Culinary Championships come February 2 and 3, 2024, in Ottawa.
