X Red Deer, Alberta – August 23, 2023 – Red Deer Resort and Casino, Central Alberta’s largest hotel with 241 contemporary rooms, hosted a special dinner at its R&R Restaurant to show support and comfort for over 120 evacuees from the Northern Territories wildfires who were staying at the hotel.

The dinner, offering a simple yet comforting meal of BBQ, salad, pop, and burgers, was held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 23, 2023. Red Deer Resort and Casino’s dedicated employees volunteered their time to prepare and serve the meal.

Adrian Strawberry, Hotel Operations Manager, stated, “We stood united with those affected by these unfortunate events. This dinner symbolizes our commitment to the community, extending our hospitality to offer comfort during this difficult time.”
